Quality Control co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas is currently in the hospital receiving medical care after suffering a heart attack.
A rep for Thomas confirmed to Variety that the hip-hop mogul is recovering from the medical incident. “We want to clarify that Pierre ‘P’ Thomas is alive and currently hospitalized receiving medical care,” the rep shared in a statement. “We ask that everyone keep P and his family in their thoughts and prayers and respectfully give them the privacy and space they need during this time. We deeply appreciate everyone’s concern, support, prayers, and loving energy right now.”
TMZ was first to report that Thomas suffered a heart attack and that he is under doctors’ care in a Las Vegas hospital, where he’s currently being monitored in the ICU.
Thomas has been a heavy-hitter in hip-hop since co-founding Quality Control in 2013 alongside Kevin Lee, better known as Coach K. The Atlanta-based label and music-and-sports management company has launched the careers of Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, City Girls and more, in addition to managing many athletes.
Lee first approached Thomas to found Quality Control in 2013 and within a month had signed Migos, one of the biggest acts to emerge from the Atlanta region this century. Over the years, their roster has included City Girls, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, Rich the Kid, Stefflon Don and many more.
In 2023, Quality Control was acquired by Hybe America, led by Scooter Braun, before his departure as CEO in July 2025. Financial disclosures revealed that the purchase was roughly $300 million in cash and stock, according to the New York Times.
