The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the second preseason game of the exhibition slate. They will take on the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium on Saturday night.
The Bears and Bengals have already met this offseason after the two teams held a joint practice together on Thursday.
We would expect a similar approach to how things went in the first preseason game, when the Bears didn't play their starters on the offensive side of the ball but did have some ones on defense.
With that, here's how we project the Bears' starting lineups on both sides of the ball for preseason Week 2.
Offense

QB: Case Keenum
RB: Roschon Johnson
WR: Jahdae Walker, Zavion Thomas, Kaden Davis
TE: Sam Roush
LT: Braxton Jones
LG: Jordan McFadden
C: Logan Jones
RG: Caden Barnett
RT: Jedrick Wills
With Tyson Bagent dealing with a hamstring injury and uncertain to play, Case Keenum will likely get the nod at quarterback, with rookie Miller Moss mixing in after him.
Roschon Johnson started last game, so we anticipate him being the first one up on Saturday, also, although we would not rule out Salvon Ahmed getting that look, or at least getting an extended look with the twos after his impressive preseason debut.
Zavion Thomas' return to practice signals he will make his debut after sitting out last week's game. Kaden Davis gets the nod over Scotty Miller in this scenario as the Bears try and figure out if he's a better bet on the 53-man roster over veteran Scotty Miller. Davis has been sensational, both in training camp and the preseason.
No Cole Kmet or Colston Loveland leaves an opening for another tight end to get the start. We think it'll be Sam Roush, but Nikola Kalinic and Stephen Carlson are also in the mix.
With the left tackle competition still open, according to head coach Ben Johnson, Braxton Jones will probably get some reps at left tackle to start, and Theo Benedet should replace him after moving to the left side in practice this week.
Kiran Amegadjie and Jedrick Wills were swapped to the right side at practice this week, so we'd expect them to rotate at right tackle in preseason Week 2. Since Amegadjie started last week, we suspect Wills will get the nod this week.
Caden Barnett and Logan Jones both started against the Browns, so we could see them again with the twos early on. After not playing last week, we peg Jordan McFadden as a starter.
Defense

DL: Austin Booker, Gervon Dexter, Kentavious Street, Dayo Odeyingbo
LB: Devin Bush, D'Marco Jackson
CB: Terell Smith, Malik Muhammad, Josh Blackwell
S: Dillon Thieneman, Cam Lewis
We would expect at least Austin Booker, Dayo Odeyingbo and Kentavious Street to start like they did last week, and Gervon Dexter is a possibility again after he had some struggles in preseason Week 1.
We'll keep Devin Bush and D'Marco Jackson as starters for now, but we do feel they showed enough to not play another snap during the preseason. We don't expect to see T.J. Edwards, although that hasn't been confirmed yet.
If Bush and Jackson don't play, Jack Sanborn and Ruben Hyppolite might get the start, but it isn't clear if Hyppolite is healthy after leaving last week's game early due to an injury.
Terell Smith, who had been sidelined for awhile due to injury before returning to practice on Thursday, should get some work early and often with all of the injuries in the secondary. Look for Malik Muhammad and Josh Blackwell to spend time on the boundary and in the slot.
We're keeping things status quo at the safety position, but don't expect many, if any, snaps for Dillon Thieneman and Cam Lewis. Xavier Woods should also work his way into the mix at some point.
