There are a lot of ways to describe when a baseball team drives in a few runs in an inning, and Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay certainly found a unique way to do it after a three-run third inning for the Yanks. 

José Caballero, Ben Rice and Heliot Ramos all brought in runs during the third inning of a 6-1 win over the Orioles on Thursday night before Jazz Chisholm Jr. struck out to end the inning. 

As the YES Network broadcast was tossing things to a commercial, Kay was doing what he usually does to sum up the inning for viewers. 

But the Yankees broadcaster caught everyone off guard when he chose a certain phrase to describe the frame for a team that has struggled to score runs with Aaron Judge on the injured list.

“The Yankees three runs in an inning, it’s an offensive orgy and this guy really needed it,” Kay exclaimed as a clip of Ramos’ RBI double to center field played.

“Ramos goes the other way. His first RBI as a Yank.” 

Social media users were quick to poke fun at the suggestive way to describe the Yankees’ offensive output in the inning.

The Yankees added two more runs in the sixth inning and one in the eighth in a game where they also had 11 hits against the American League East rival Orioles. 

“A lot of offensive contributions,” Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters after the game about his club’s effort. “A couple balls that left the yard obviously, but some real contributions from everyone offensively and just a good night for us, and a good way to finish [the series].

The Yankees have scored at least three runs during each of their victories during their four-game win streak and will now get another crack at the Blue Jays, who took two out of three games against the Yanks last weekend in Toronto.
