Quarterbacks are usually among the last positions fantasy managers address in their drafts, and with so many reliable options available, it makes plenty of sense to wait until the later rounds.
Fortunately, waiting on quarterbacks doesn’t mean a major loss in value. A ton of passers drafted late have the talent, opportunity, and offensive environments to outperform their projected finish. And most importantly, finding one at the right time can allow managers to focus on the major picks.
Here are three late-round quarterbacks who could still excel in 2026.
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

It’s been said before, and it’ll be said again: What reigning NFL MVP falls into the 100s for ADP? Unfortunately, the answer is Matthew Stafford (#119 ADP, #12 among QBs).
Stafford was beyond lethal in 2025, totaling nearly 5,000 passing yards while throwing an unreal 46 touchdowns to just eight interceptions. And while the performance did win him the league’s highest honor, it slotted him at just QB3 in terms of fantasy rankings.
That distinction is important, though, because Stafford’s lack of rushing production immediately puts a ceiling on his fantasy upside compared to those who can get it done on the ground. Yet, he still finished in the top-three at the position without having that extra boost.
And honestly? That makes his current price tag even more enticing. Fantasy managers aren’t asking for another MVP season out of Stafford; they’re just betting that a passer who just finished as QB3 can remain highly productive.
For those waiting until the later rounds to address the position, snagging last year’s top award-winner is beyond worth it.
Kyler Murray, Minnesota Vikings

On the other end of the spectrum, Kyler Murray (#152 ADP, #17 among QBs) is in line for a career rebirth.
After a disappointing 2025 season that was cut short, Murray enters a new situation in Minnesota that provides exactly what he needs to get back on track. And, arguably more importantly for fantasy managers, his rushing ability helps supply a built-in floor that not many quarterbacks being drafted this late can match.
Murray has already shown what he can do when healthy and playing at his best. The Vikings’ new QB1 has surpassed 500 rushing yards in three seasons, with the most recent coming in 2024. He’s not shy of the end zone, either, with his career high for rushing touchdowns being 11. All of this goes without mentioning his new weapons in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, let alone his potential with quarterback guru Kevin O’Connell.
So, with a pick this late, it’s almost shocking that you can get a passer with this much value. And at his current price, Murray doesn’t need to return to his absolute peak. As long as he can work with his new toys and run somewhat similarly to how he has in the past, he’ll be more than a steal for fantasy managers.
Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

He’s not the flashiest pick, and he’s not going to win your league on his own. But if you’re looking for a quarterback who will produce consistently every week, Jared Goff (#126 ADP, #16 among QBs) is your guy.
Goff has been the gold standard for stable fantasy quarterback play in recent years, averaging at least 17 points per outing in each of his last three seasons. Just as importantly, Goff knows how to protect the football, recording a single-digit interception total in half of his NFL seasons.
Goff’s biggest appeal, however, may ironically involve everyone but him. Instead of spending an early pick chasing high-tier quarterbacks, managers can load up on other skill positions before grabbing Goff as a reliable option later. And when you’re looking to win a fantasy championship, consistency is key.
Don’t look over Goff in your drafts this year.
