ICE agents shot and wounded a suspected migrant gang member in the Bronx Thursday while a 5-year-old boy sat in the back of his SUV, drawing a crowd of bystanders who peppered the armed agents with insults.

The shooting happened outside 2 Marble Hill Ave. around 4:20 p.m. when the feds tried to arrest a 28-year-old man, and things quickly went off script, according to the sources.

“They shot this n—– out the car, bro,” one bystander is heard yelling on a video posted online. “This n—- over here got a AR. Look at this. That’s ICE. This is ICE, bro.”

The wounded man, who was shot in the neck but is expected to survive, is seen sitting handcuffed on the pavement while as many as a dozen agents swarm the scene and keep bystanders back.

The young boy, who has not been identified, was not injured.

Video footage from the scene shows police pulling a man from a silver SUV in handcuffs, while armed federal agents surround the vehicle — even as bystanders begin to gather on the sidewalk.

One man in a construction vest with a badge around his neck roamed around the vehicle holding a semi-automatic rifle, keeping bystanders back.

“I was in the store on Broadway and someone said someone’s getting shot,” one witness to the aftermath told The Post. “And then I came out and there was someone on the ground in handcuffs.

“There was a guy holding a gun up, looking around in case someone wanted to interfere,” he added. “He was ICE.”

Sources said the feds were investigating whether the wounded man is tied to the migrant moped gang tied to the shooting of an off-duty border patrol agent at Fort Washington Park last year.

Police were not involved in the operation, the department said.

“At around 4 p.m. today, there was a shooting involving federal law enforcement agents in the Marble Hill neighborhood of the Bronx,” the NYPD said in a post on X. “The NYPD was not involved in the incident and was not on scene at the time of the shooting.

“The individual who was shot is at a nearby hospital and is currently conscious and receiving medical attention,” the department said.

ICE officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment and further details are pending.

A crowd of roughly 40 anti-ICE protesters gathered around the scene by Thursday evening, chanting “ICE out of New York Now!”

Iris Rosa, 67, who has lived in the Marble Hill neighborhood for 30 years, said she was almost a “victim” as the shots rang out as she was turning the corner.

“We were turning the corner when the shots rang out. And I heard this —  ‘pow,’ ‘pow,’ ‘pow’ —  like really loud shots,” Rosa said.

“We ran for our lives. Everyone ran. The children were running down the block for their lives.”

Rosa said the child who was in the car was being held by a person who appeared to be an ICE agent after the shooting.

The wounded man was bloodied and had “cuts around his neck,” she said.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other lawmakers expressed outrage at the ICE-involved shooting and called for federal agents to stay away from the city.

“This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities,” Hizzoner said.

“Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children,” he continued. “Abolish ICE.”

Congressman Adriano Espaillat, who represents Upper Manhattan and parts of the Bronx, said he was on the scene after being briefed by the NYPD.

“I am demanding all body camera footage and evidence be preserved, a full investigation with full cooperation from the federal government, and accountability,” Espaillat wrote in a post on X. “ICE is a rogue agency that must be reigned in.”

City Council Speaker Julie Menin also released a statement calling for a full investigation into the shooting and said she was “deeply worried” about immigrant New Yorkers’ “anxieties” following the incident.

“I recognize the immense fear that ICE’s actions have caused immigrant New Yorkers, and I’m deeply worried about the additional anxiety and uncertainty this incident may bring to communities across our city as we await answers.”

“We expect federal authorities to provide a full and transparent accounting of the circumstances surrounding this incident,” Gov. Kathy Hochul separately said of the incident in a post on X.

“New Yorkers deserve to know exactly what happened and why,” Hochul said.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani blasted the shooting as “unconscionable” and said he has called President Trump to demand that he end ICE enforcement in the Big Apple.
