For the first time since 1981, Formula 1 is returning to Madrid.
The Spanish Grand Prix is today, Sept. 13, marking the second race in Spain this season after the inaugural Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix in June. It will be the first F1 race held at the newly opened Madring circuit.
In an extremely close qualifying yesterday, defending World Drivers Champion Lando Norris (McLaren) won pole position with a time of 1 minute and 31.824 seconds. Current WDC leader Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes) starts second, with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen rounding out the top three.
