Sacramento Kings guard Zach LaVine’s wife has a fair gripe with several media members.

A live stream of the Kings’ media day press conference caught two women speaking about LaVine and his teammate, Ben Simmons, in between interviews. One reporter was seemingly asking which player had been speaking at the podium.

After several comments about Simmons’ looks, one of the women said, “Allegedly, I like lightskins, I guess.”

A male reporter then asked them about LaVine, who exercised his $49 million player option for the 2026–27 season with the Kings back in June.

“Hella fine!” the woman responded about LaVine. “I mean, his personality annoys the s*** out of me, so that’s what makes him less fine.”

“Zach is cute, but his personality f****** annoys me,” added the other woman. “He just seems like he’s hella, like a p****… He’s beautiful.”

The women then joked about doing a ranking of the Kings’ most attractive players, agreeing that Simmons would be placed above LaVine because Simmons, “looks way younger.”

This video has gone viral over the past day. LaVine’s wife, Hunter, commented on an Instagram post of the video and wrote, “a great start to the season!”

To be fair, Hunter seems to have a good sense of humor about what happened. She reposted a video of the hot mic moment to her Instagram story on Monday and wrote, “😂😂😂😂😂”.

LaVine himself hasn’t commented on the video yet.
