After the Grand Prix of Ontario in Canada in mid-August, Indycar Series travels to the United States’ capital city for the 2026 Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C. It starts on Saturday, Aug. 22 with practice and qualifying rounds. Race day is the following day on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT.
For round 15 of the season, the motorsports event takes place throughout the streets of Washington, D.C. around the National Mall in a street circuit. If you want to catch the race live, it broadcasts across FS1, FS2 and FOX.
