Christa Pike's attorneys are set to address her failed execution attempt and hospitalization ... and TMZ is streaming live.

Attorneys Randy Spivey of the Tennessee Office of the Post Conviction Defender and Stephen Ferrell of Federal Defender Services of Eastern Tennessee are expected to speak during the press conference.

Pike was rushed to a hospital Wednesday night after Tennessee tried to execute her with two doses of a lethal injection drug ... but witnesses said she remained alive, breathing and snoring.

Her legal team says it warned for months the state could have trouble establishing IV access and carrying out the execution without unnecessary suffering ... and they now argue those concerns were proven right.

Pike remains hospitalized ... and her attorneys say she "is critically ill but not in a coma."

The failed execution was Tennessee's second this year. In May, the same official, Dr. Mark Fowler, was unable to execute Tony Carruthers after struggling for more than an hour to establish the necessary IV access.

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has since paused executions for the rest of 2026 and ordered a third-party review of what went wrong.
