The second date of the Boston Bruins’ 2026 Fan Fest has been cancelled.
The event, which was supposed to take place at Worcester Common in Worcester, Mass., on Sunday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. ET, was canceled due to the threat of inclement weather.
The Bruins made the announcement about the cancellation in a press release on Saturday evening.
“The Boston Bruins have announced that tomorrow’s planned Worcester stop of 2026 Fan Fest: Road to Opening Night presented by TD has been cancelled due to the forecast of inclement weather in the area,” said the Boston Bruins in the press release. “This difficult decision was made out of an abundance of caution, in consultation with City of Worcester officials, to prioritize the safety of fans, partners, staff and players. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to celebrating the 2026-27 season with fans in the coming weeks.”
Bruins defensemen Connor Clifton and Will Borgen were set to be at the event.
Although the Fan Fest was canceled, the Bruins will still be active on Sunday as the team’s prospects will play in Game 1 of the 2026 Prospects Showcase against the Buffalo Sabres prospects in Buffalo at 5 p.m. ET.
Game 2 will be Monday at noon.
The rest of the month will feature Training Camp, which opens on Wednesday, followed by four preseason games.
Boston’s first two preseason contests will be played at TD Garden, the first against the Washington Capitals on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 5 p.m. and the other against the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
After that, the Bruins will hit the road and play their final two preseason games at Philadelphia on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. and at Washington on Friday, Sept. 25 at the same time.
Boston opens its 2026-27 campaign against the New York Rangers on Tuesday, Sept. 29 at TD Garden. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
